Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

I got a new tattoo recently and it’s got people asking some good questions.

Mostly:
What does it mean to be a Jedi?

Yes! It’s true!

I am a fierce and self-proclaimed nerd and I now have a Rebel Alliance symbol inked on my forearm to prove it. 🙂

So what does it mean?

A Jedi is a warrior of the light. A force for good in the world.

A Jedi knows that the mind is our most powerful resource and we can work WONDERS with it.

You can change the world in an instant, if you only believe that you can.

As you get more powerful you may not have a big tribe of allies, but with those who are on your side, you can move mountains, save worlds, prevail against evil and all that good stuff you see in the movies.

Also, the darkness within can be your greatest strength if you are willing to face it, process it, transmute it.

We are all on a spiritual quest, some of us recognize it and others think it’s ‘just life’.

In my opinion, true leadership is when a person is willing to take all their rough edges and make them into powerful teaching points. That’s what we call the ‘Hero’s Journey’, the stories you share of your lowest moments and how you chose to push through them.

No-one is perfect.

Nobody has it all figured out.

It takes courage to focus on the light, and even more courage to shed light on those dark places we’d rather leave buried.

We unearth those memories in hopes of reframing them, gaining new perspective, or of allowing others to see their own lives in a new way.

When you give someone a new perspective on their life, you have done them a great service. It’s when we are locked into one way of seeing things that we get stuck.
