Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...
When you have a busy AF day, like a full schedule of calls, and you’re wondering how you’ll even walk the dog enough to keep him happy…
What do you do during your breaks?

Yes, I walk the dog as quick and efficiently as possible.

And I’ll tell you what I used to do…

  • I used to try to squeeze content creation in between my calls.
  • I used to beat myself up for not taking advantage of every spare moment to keep marketing my business and getting visible.
  • I used to try to email and follow up and write and work in every spare gap of time.

Then I realized that switching gears that much in a day drives me absolutely bonkers.
It’s a path to burnout.
I know because I was beginning to burnout and I wasn’t even having that many busy days yet.

Here’s what I did about it:

First, this may sound crazy, but I squeezed my calls into less days a week.
Yes, that means the days got a little more full, but it also means that I could give myself permission to NOT do all the other tasks of my business on call days.

Second, I stopped trying to multitask on call days and used the other two days a week to do all the creation stuff for my business.
That means I was uninterrupted. I could go into writing mode, or video mode, or marketing mode and not have to break away to take the next call.

Stress levels went down.
Productivity went up.
My presence and power to show the F up for my clients increased too.
And the burnout… ain’t fucking happening anymore.

I know when you add spouses, or children to the mix it all gets even harder to time out.
And it’s still possible.
Get your partner on board with your plan.
Get the childcare or backup you need to give yourself that creation time.
Give yourself permission to just breathe and NOT WORK during those short breaks between calls.

You became an entrepreneur to have more freedom, sometimes more freedom means getting a bit more organized.

You got this.
Find a system that works for you.

You’re the boss,
